    Speaker
    Auren Weinberg

    Auren Weinberg, MD, MBA
Business Unit Chief Medical Officer, Veradigm

Dr. Auren Weinberg received a BS in chemistry at Haverford College, following with an MD with honors from University of Rochester School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he then served as Chief Resident. He started a private practice shortly after leaving residency, which he grew to over 10,000 patients (about the seating capacity of Cameron basketball stadium at Duke University), 14 providers, and a truly comprehensive care approach. His practice was the first in the area to embed mental health care, nutrition counseling, and exercise classes for patients. The practice achieved level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home certification, also first in the area.

Dr. Weinberg co-founded an independent physicians association that focused on supporting privately owned practices in achieving the quadruple aim of better outcomes, better care, lower cost, and higher staff satisfaction. This was accomplished through regular practice meetings and collaboration, improved contracts with payers, and the creation of a managed service organization. This group of practices became a very successful accountable care organization. Dr. Weinberg served as Vice President for the organization that purchased this entity, and he built a direct primary care network of practices for this company.

Dr. Weinberg then received his MBA with Dean's Certificate of Excellence from Fox School of Business. He served as Chief Medical Officer at a statewide health plan followed by Regional Chief Medical Officer of a national care provider organization.

Dr. Weinberg is passionate about aviation and in his spare time serves as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner ensuring that pilots are healthy enough to fly safely.
