In April 2022, MGMA was made aware that certain Provider Relief Fund (PRF) recipients did not successfully complete reporting for usage of funds. Due in large part to #MGMAAdvocacy, the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), released guidance on how to request to submit a late report. If medical groups do not request a late report and receive approval, they will not be considered in compliance with the Terms and Conditions they agreed to and may be subject to enforcement actions, such as repayment of funds. HRSA will not require non-compliant providers to return funds until after the Request to Report Late Due to Extenuating Circumstances process for a Reporting Period has closed.
