Organizations receive MGMA’s Rise Above Recognition for their tenacity and dedication to patient care throughout the COVID-19 pandemic

TAMPA, Florida, October 20, 2020 — Greenway Health, a leading health information technology services provider, is pleased to recognize its long-time customers Health Choice Network (HCN) and HealthLinc for their receipt of the Medical Group Management Association’s (MGMA) ‘Rise Above’ Recognition, highlighting the work of healthcare leaders and organizations as they overcame daily challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The centers will be acknowledged during MGMA’s virtual Medical Practice Excellence Conference (MPEC) from Oct. 19-21. Both organizations leverage Greenway to power their health tech stack, leading with Intergy EHR and Greenway Revenue Services.

HCN is a successful nation-wide collaboration of health centers, health center-controlled networks and partners. With 52 safety-net organizations in 19 states serving approximately 2.2 million patients, HCN led several frontline initiatives throughout the pandemic, such as drive through and walk-up testing sites, to delivering critically-needed personal protective equipment throughout the city, all while continuing to provide quality patient care to the community at large.

“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we have increased our efforts and resources in order to enhance our commitment to serving our community and ensuring the provision of high-quality, affordable, community-based health care to the underserved and families,” said Alex Romillo, president/CEO of HCN. “Thanks to partners like Greenway Health which provided critical services, technology and support during these times, we were able to truly focus on fulfilling our mission while also protecting the center’s quality care awards and overall bottom line.”

In addition, HealthLinc, a not-for-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides health services to people of all ages regardless of a patient’s ability to pay, quickly expanded telehealth and established drive through facilities at the height of the pandemic in order to increase access to quality patient care in its communities. Providing a variety of patient services, including primary medical, dental, optometry, behavioral health and more, the center was a lifeline for hundreds of patients throughout the pandemic.

“Patient care and safety have always been our top priority, and the pandemic only served to strengthen our commitment to ensuring access to quality care to those we serve,” said Beth Wrobel CEO of HealthLinc. “Leveraging innovative health technologies was key to making this happen. Telehealth solutions that integrate with our EHR platform and RCM services that streamline and give us better insight into our financial practices have been critical to enabling us to continue delivering health services to our community throughout COVID-19.”

In addition to recognizing the success of these customers during the 2020 virtual MPEC event, Greenway will also be hosting several informational sessions. The first, “Leadership Roundtable: Virtual care and cybersecurity,” hosted by Greenway’s Chief Product and Technology Officer David Cohen and other executives will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 1:15 p.m. EST. The second, “Leadership Roundtable: Leading a successful workplace in uncertain times,” hosted by Greenway’s Chief Transformation Officer Michele Streitmatter will take place Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 2:45 p.m. EST.

“As a company dedicated to the advancement of health, we understand the challenges facing our customers and communities during such unprecedented times, and we commend these practices and providers for their commitment to patient care,” said Pratap Sarker, president of Greenway Health. “We are committed to providing our customers with the innovative tools and technologies they need to continue improving outcomes, streamlining workflows and maintaining business continuity as we monitor the status of COVID-19 here in the U.S. and around the world.”
