Don’t quite have time to listen to the entire episode? No worries. We’ve compiled an assortment of highlights for your convenience:
- (6:31) “I think about the Great Resignation. It was a culmination of people who were tolerating toxic cultures, tolerating bad bosses, tolerating being miscast in their roles. Not being able to use their strengths, being overworked, not given the resources. So it was a culmination of a lot of things, and I think the pandemic was just the tipping point.”
- (9:15) “I feel like the companies that … had a toxic culture, they did not survive. And they won’t. They still won’t. (They) will continue to not survive through what’s coming next.”
- (20:40) “The worst thing you can do is pay lip service to employee well-being.”
- (24:14) “So I’d say invest in your managers to develop them from the inside out so that they can be effective leaders and people want to be able to stay on.”
