    Salem Hawatmeh – ECG Management Consultants 

    Salem Hawatmeh is a healthcare leader with a background that exposed him to multiple layers of operations and strategy. He has partnered with patients, frontline staff, physicians, department leaders, and executives to carry out system-level initiatives to improve outcomes. With a focus on health equity and patient access, his mindset is one of continuous improvement. Salem earned a Master of Health Administration degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from the University of California, San Diego. Currently, he is a manager at ECG Management Consultants and an instructor at the University of Southern California.  

    Salem shares what it meant for him to be a hospital administrator and how that work provided the infrastructure for him to be a Manager at ECG Management Consultant. Salem outlines how to join the consulting world and what key differences exists between the provider space and management consulting. The crew asked Salem the following questions:
