    The Medical Group Management Association’s MGMA Stat poll asked healthcare professionals to describe how their organizations analyze the information found in their Electronic Health Record (EHR). Overall, 53 percent reported they used all or some of the analytic tools provided by their EHR, with 31 percent indicating they used all of the EHR’s analytics, 22 percent using some of the EHR’s tools and 11% don’t utilize their EHR analytics. An external vendor was used by 5 percent of the respondents while 31 percent indicated that their organizations used a combination of internal and vendor supplied tools to understand the data from their EHRs.

    The poll was conducted on April 25, 2017 with 958 total responses. Of this total, 86 indicated the question was not applicable to their situation with a net of 872 applicable responses.
