The Medical Group Management Association’s MGMA Stat poll asked healthcare professionals if their organizations used a vendor for payer contracting. The overwhelming majority, 64 percent, responding that their organizations do not use a vendor. For those that do, 13 percent use a vendor to contract, 8 percent to negotiate, and 3 percent to monitor payment.
The poll was conducted on February 21, 2017 and reported responses from 935 healthcare professionals.
