Are you ready for an OSHA visit?

Insight Article - February 26, 2019

OSHA

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires that all corporations have a safe work environment for their employees. The OSH Act, 1970, Sec 5, requires that all employers have a work environment free from recognized hazards that will cause or are likely to cause serious harm or death.

Even though healthcare-reported incidents have decreased over the past several years, there still is a high incidence for OSHA-reported accidents in the industry, which is now on the OSHA watch list for site visits. Is your physician practice prepared for a review of safety practices if OSHA were to perform an on-site visit?
