    Professionals across the country make our overall healthcare system work better for everyone, whether it is through leadership, innovation, mentorship, advocacy, and industry advancements. MGMA recognizes these achievements through awards, as well as industry designations through its credentialing body, the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE). 

     MGMA Award Recipients receive*:

    Awards 

    MGMA Future Five Award 

    The Future Five award annually recognizes five professionals within the first five years of their career who have demonstrably impacted their organization or the industry.  

    Nominee guidelines: 

    • Must be an MGMA member  
    • Five or fewer years of full-time experience in healthcare 
    • Demonstrable examples of their impact  


    MGMA Harwick Innovation Award 

    The award is designed to recognize and celebrate the success of an individual who has developed an innovative solution that positively impacts practices, providers and/or patients in their community.  

    Nomination guidelines

    • Innovative solution has a clear method, structure, and overview of resources utilized to achieve a positive outcome for a practice, provider or patient population. 
    • Originality of the solution and how it supports MGMA’s mission to transform healthcare. 
    • Innovative solution empowers others in healthcare to make positive impacts on their community. 
    • Self-nominations are accepted. 


    MGMA Lifetime Achievement Award 

    The award is designed to recognize and celebrate the success of an individual who has inspired and empowered other leaders through significant contributions to the healthcare industry with particular emphasis on the advancement of medical group administration, delivery and/or education.  
     
    Nominee guidelines: 

    • Individual has been a catalyst for positive change in the field of medical practice management. 
    • Individual has inspired others to positively impact the transformation of healthcare in his/her community. 
    • Individual has demonstrated the ability to translate success in their community to a broader contingent of professionals nationally. 
    • Self-nominations are accepted. 


    MGMA Legislative Liaison of the Year Award 

    This award recognizes a medical practice professional serving as a state MGMA legislative liaison volunteer who has provided outstanding leadership in the education and motivation of MGMA members through grassroots and advocacy involvement on legislative and regulatory issues of importance to medical group practices. This award recipient is chosen by the MGMA Government Affairs team.

    Nominee guidelines: 

    • Individual must be currently serving or have served in the year as the formal legislative liaison for a state MGMA. 


    ACMPE Forum Representative of the Year Award 

    This award recognizes a medical practice professional serving as a state MGMA ACMPE Forum Representative who has provided outstanding leadership in the education and motivation of MGMA members through the process of the ACMPE offerings. 

    Nominee guidelines: 

    • Must have served as a formal ACMPE Forum Representative for a state MGMA chapter in the past year.
