Vukmir is president of Critical Care Medicine Associates; chief clinical officer for National Guardian Risk Retention Group and the ECI PSO; and chairman of ECI Healthcare Partners Education and Risk Management Department.
Board-certified in emergency medicine and critical care medicine, Vukmir is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), the American College of Chest Physicians and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He also holds a law degree, with a certificate in health law.
He is the author of 43 peer-reviewed medical journal articles and nine books, and serves as scientific reviewer or editor for two dozen medical journals. Vukmir also serves as adjunct professor of emergency medicine at Temple University. He has served on ACEP's Medicolegal and Public Relation committees and as councillor, media spokesman and ACEP News Editorial Board.
