This webinar – scheduled for October 24, 2024, at 1 pm ET (12 pm CT, 11 am MT, 10 am PT) – is eligible for ACMPE, ACHE (live only), CPE (live only), PDC (live only) and CEU credit, and will be made available as a recording.

Emerging evidence suggests that hypertension control in the U.S. has significantly worsened since the onset of COVID-19. Research shows COVID-19 may have contributed to an increase in hypertension cases, and mounting data shows that elevated blood pressure (BP) is a key factor in the development of many end-organ diseases.

This webinar will address the current post-pandemic landscape faced by the medical community and its patients, emphasizing the importance of accurate BP measurement for effective diagnostic and therapeutic decisions. The webinar will also highlight the critical role of adhering to the American Heart Association (AHA)-recommended protocol for patient positioning during BP readings, ensuring measurement accuracy and improved patient outcomes.

This 60-minute webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

    • Analyze the importance of detecting small differences in BP readings for the effective management of hypertension and other metabolic disorders, particularly in primary care settings.
    • Apply the AHA best practice protocol for repeatable BP readings at the point of care, emphasizing proper training, equipment selection, and patient positioning to ensure accuracy.
    • Evaluate the reliability of at-home BP measurements versus clinical-grade readings in primary care for diagnosing BP disorders, considering the clinical significance of patient positioning as highlighted in the CORRECT BP study.
