There are three levels of ACMPE Certificates:
- Topical Certificates
- Domain Certificate – Credential Bearing
- Foundational Certificates – Credential Bearing
Topical Certificates
Covers specific skills and topics within a Body of Knowledge domain and may be part of a credential-bearing, domain-based certificate.
Payer Contracting Certificate
Earn 6 CE hours, assemble payer agreements, devise renegotiation strategies and evaluate contracted rates against payment rates.
Financial Reporting and Budgeting Certificate
Earn 2 CE hours, produce budgets, manage reports, ensure audit readiness and demonstrate the impact of corporate taxes.
Healthcare Data Analytics Certificate
Earn 3.5 CE hours to establish and assess physician compensation plans and evaluate performance analytically.
Revenue Cycle Management Certificate
Earn 6 CE hours to master revenue cycle management, assess daily impacts and determine methods for continuous improvement and oversight.
Cash Flow, Accounts Payable and Payroll Management Certificate
Earn 3 CE hours to manage cash flow, apply bookkeeping basics and employ payroll management strategies.
Project Management and Strategic Planning Certificate
Earn 3.5 CE hours to develop organizational goals, design strategic business plans and generate project plans and schedules.
Domain-Based Certificates
Provides healthcare leaders with a mastery of concepts within the six domains of the Body of Knowledge. Completion of course and assessment earns a credential.
Operations Management Certificate (OMC)
Earn 14 CE hours to master practice operations, project management, data analytics, IT, cybersecurity and marketing.
Financial Management Certificate (FMC)
Earn 17 CE hours to master financial reporting and budgeting techniques while developing skills to analyze payer contracts effectively.
Human Resources Management Certificate (HRMC)
Earn 7 CE hours to enhance your expertise in staffing assessment, training and policy evaluation.
Transformative Healthcare Delivery Certificate (THDC)
Earn 9 CE hours to explore transformative healthcare models, utilization strategies and essential analytics.
Risk and Compliance Management Certificate (RCMC)
Earn 4 CE hours to bolster organizational resilience through risk management, disaster preparedness and streamlined provider credentialing.
Foundational Certificates
Introduces early careerists in healthcare principal concepts within the largest domains of the Body of Knowledge. Completion of course and assessment earns a credential.
Principles of Practice Management Certificate (PPMC)
Earn 15 CE hours to learn technical skills in healthcare operations, compliance, IT and talent management.
How to Complete an ACMPE Certificate
- Upon registration, access to Certificate course(s) will be available through the "Online Education" in your MGMA Dashboard.
- Certificates and digital credentials will be awarded after comprehensive assessments are passed proving learning objectives have been achieved.
- Certificate courses are conveniently self-paced and on-demand.
- Certificates are stackable for digital credentials and may be combined with Board Certification and Fellowship training to provide a deeper understanding of industry-leading topics.
- Certificate courses are a great introduction to ACMPE credentialing offerings for non-members, who are eligible to enroll.
- Certificate and digital credential holders are not required to complete further continuing education credits to maintain.
- Certificate courses must be completed within one year of purchase.
Once an ACMPE Certificate is Earned
Individuals who have completed a Certificate will receive their verifiable digital badge the first week of the following month from our partner, Credly:
- A verifiable digital badge serves as a digital credential that may be added to all web-based media, including but not limited to websites, signatures and digital resumes.
- This digital badge allows for the official certificate to be printed at any time.
- If the certificate is credential-bearing, the credentials will be added to your MGMA account.
