The competition for a shrinking supply of physicians continues to intensify: Nearly 6 of 10 medical practices report staffing will be their biggest challenge in 2023. Increased turnover and early retirements have created a wave of vacancies that are taking longer to fill — if they can be filled at all. What’s a practice to do when it finds itself in the unfortunate position of not being able to hire a physician? If a position has been open for six months or longer, it may be time to reevaluate everything: the ideal candidate profile, the physician’s scope of practice, the compensation and recruitment incentives, as well as the practice’s recruiting tactics.

In this session, three tenured physician recruiters will discuss why today’s market requires medical practices to think outside the box to engage and hire physicians who are both interested in the opportunity and are a strong cultural fit. With an emphasis on practice over theory, the speakers will share brief case studies of traditionally hard-to-fill specialties and how they were able to recruit physicians successfully despite barriers such as less-desirable locations and median compensation. Participants will leave the session with practical ideas for improving candidate acquisition and job offer acceptance rates.

This 60-minute webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

    • Outline a successful physician search and the considerations needed for hard-to-fill positions
    • Examine industry trends, physicians’ job expectations, and recruitment metric benchmarks to increase placement success rates while reducing time-to-fill
    • Analyze physician recruitment case studies for the positive financial impact of creative recruiting
