HIPAA is probably the most misunderstood, misapplied, misappropriated and otherwise abused set of healthcare regulations out there. Whether it’s a snake-oil vendor or consultant trying to use HIPAA FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) to sell you an expensive new product or engagement to make you “HIPAA compliant” or an internal staff person trying to justify their existence by insisting some arcane legacy process is a “HIPAA requirement” (not always true), most of these arguments do not stand up to scrutiny.

HIPAA has been around for decades, with many millions of dollars spent, yet the breaches continue. And there is precious little practical help for practice managers and executives to deal with the constant concern of a possible HIPAA breach. In this one-hour webinar, we will break HIPAA down to practical, actionable steps you can take in your organization to significantly improve your HIPAA posture and reduce your real cybersecurity threats.

Using a structured and simple 4x4 approach, this 60-minute webinar will provide you with the knowledge to:

    • Outline the four activities you must do but which won't really reduce risk
    • Analyze the four measures you absolutely should implement to reduce risk
    • Distinguish the four components of an effective security program
    • Point out the four biggest hidden threats lurking in your practice, as well as steps to deal with them
