I Have Discovered Payroll Embezzlement is Taking Place in My Practice: What Do I Do Next?

The main intent of this paper is to help promote awareness to practice managers and administrators that payroll fraud can and does take place in medical practices of all sizes and to provide examples of  experiences from other managers and/or administrators that have been victimized by the malicious activity of payroll fraud in their practices.  The research and survey questions will show how the activity was discovered,  what consequences the perpetrators experienced and what processes were put into place to help avoid and/or minimize the exposure of  payroll fraud happening again in their practices.
