Medicare BPCI Advanced applications due March 12

Applications for the new Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI) Advanced Model are due March 12 for an Oct. 1, 2018 start date. Applications are non-binding but must include details about the participating physician group practices and hospitals which are locked in until 2020. This model qualifies as an advanced alternative payment model (APM) and MIPS APM starting in 2019. MGMA continues to urge CMS to release more specific information on how the model will impact participation status in the Quality Payment Program.
