Session 6: Board Certification Preparation: Live Question-and-Answer Session held Quarterly 6:00 – 6:30 pm ET (5 pm CT, 4 pm MT, 3 pm PT)
This review session is a LIVE event during which we will review the steps on how to obtain ACMPE Board Certification, hold an open discussion to identify any personal gaps in knowledge and answer any outstanding questions attendees may have.
This 30-minute session will provide you with the knowledge to:
- Outline the steps of how to become Board Certified
- Examine any personal gaps in knowledge of the study materials
- Analyze any personal post-session questions
ACMPE is the Certification and Fellowship authority of MGMA.

American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE)
This program is approved as a live learning event for ACMPE continuing education hours. A cumulative total of 50 ACMPE continuing education credit hours is among the requirements for attaining the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) credential. To maintain CMPE or Fellow status, you must earn 50 hours of qualifying credit hours every three years, of which 30 hours must come from MGMA national, state or local offerings, including 12 from a live learning event.

Deborah Hudson is the MGMA liaison to Alabama, Georgia and Kentucky. She is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) and a past president of the Tennessee MGMA. She is a former Tennessee ACMPE Forum Rep and now serves on the ACMPE Certification Commission. Hudson was a practice manager in Northeast Tennessee for 10 years before becoming a business development and account executive for State Volunteer Mutual Insurance Company.
Tracy has many years healthcare management experience in multiple specialties in the areas of practice operations, revenue cycle management, coding, documentation, staff training, communications, policy and procedure development, and workflow redesign. Her experience includes work with private practices, hospital based practices, rural health clinics, and FQHC’s She is an ACMPE Fellow with MGMA, a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), a Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CMPA), a Certified Evaluation and Management Auditor (CEMC) a Certified Professional Medical Coding Curriculum instructor (CPC-I). Tracy is co-founder and past president of the NE Kansas Chapter of AAPC, a past president of MGMA-GKC, is the ACMPE Forum Rep for Kansas, and Kansas City, and previously served on the Certification Commission for National MGMA. Tracy is also an independent practice management consultant with national MGMA.
There are five self-paced Essentials courses. This course is divided into several short segments, allowing you to complete one or more at a time.
